We need details of the perpetrator, victim and witnesses. If someone is on the run, a description of the fugitive is important.

Emergency number or local police station?
It is important to know when the emergency number is the right choice and when a concern can be raised by telephone at a police station.
In principle, the emergency number, but also all police stations, are staffed and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
If someone feels acutely threatened or is in danger, the emergency number should of course be called. The same applies if situations are observed in which third parties get into such a situation. If a person is missing and a helpless situation cannot be ruled out, the emergency call is also absolutely the right choice.
Calls are repeatedly received via the emergency lines that are clearly not an emergency. It is important not to call the police unnecessarily. Ask yourself whether your request is an emergency or not. If you answer "no" to this question, a local police station is the right choice. If you have a medical emergency, please dial 112.
