Traffic accident under the influence of alcohol

(jd) Witnesses noticed a VW driver on Kleiststraße yesterday (16.4.) at around 10.25 p.m. who attracted attention due to his unsafe driving style. The man then reversed his car and damaged a Citroen parked on the side of the road belonging to a 22-year-old man from Bünde. The man then drove his vehicle forward a little, reversed again and hit the parked car a second time. When the driver then left his VW, he showed a clearly unsteady gait and the witnesses informed the police. The police officers who arrived noticed clear signs of alcohol consumption in the driver, a 52-year-old man from Bünde. He was taken to a nearby hospital to have a blood sample taken. His driving license was confiscated by the officers and he was banned from driving vehicles requiring a driving license. Damage in the five-digit range was caused.
